Book only the accommodation you need when bringing a small group to The Fields. Costs include accommodations plus event space rentals. Private communal fire pits are available at an additional cost. We recommend booking at least 6 months in advance to secure your desired dates.

Get exclusive access to the entire property with a buyout. Costs include all units as well as a venue fee. Requires a two- or three-night minimum stay, dependent on date. We recommend booking at least 12 months in advance to secure your desired dates.

Ceremony Spot/River Overlook is nestled under the canopy of towering trees, where a secluded glen offers a serene ceremony spot with sunlight filtering through the leaves. The space feels suspended in time, surrounded by nature’s calm.
The Willow is the heart of camp—a cozy, warmth-filled haven that brings people together under its welcoming roof. With space to 40 guests, it serves as both a rustic bar and a versatile venue for everything from storytelling nights to casual get-togethers.
The Event Pad is a 60 x 100 concrete pad, framed by lush blueberry fields, that offers a spacious and elegant setting for weddings and private events. An often-tented canopy creates a charming atmosphere.
The Lavender Field features a farm-to-table dining table along a winding path, nestled beside a fragrant lavender field on the wooded banks of the Black River, where the soft purple hues blend with the natural beauty of the landscape.

frequently asked questions
The Fields of Michigan is open annually from May through November. While July and August typically offer the most consistent temperatures, May and June bring the fresh charm of spring, and the property comes alive with vibrant fall colors in September and early October. To keep guests comfortable during the cooler parts of the season, our tents are equipped with electric fireplaces, and our cottages feature electric heating units. During the warmer months, all tents and cottages are outfitted with air conditioning units and fans to help you stay cool.
Our sales team is happy to assist with vendor recommendations and best practices for your group. For weddings, we do require a professional event planner. For smaller groups hosting events on property, our sales team will help coordinate vendors and ensure a smooth event.
For small groups, the cost is simply the tents you reserve along with any private event space. For buyouts, the total cost includes all tents plus a $7,500 venue fee. However, you can choose to have your guests pay for their own accommodations.
Our vendor list is a starting point for you, but you are allowed to go outside of our list for alternate vendors. Available upon request.
Small groups may be held to a two-night minimum length of stay, depending on date and group size. Weekend buyouts are held to a two-night minimum, while some larger buyouts require a three- night minimum.
We provide full catering services at The Fields of Michigan; however, you are welcome to bring in outside full service catering to provide meals for your events.
We love both micro-weddings (40 people or less) and larger celebrations (contact us). Each event is unique, and we look forward to helping you curate your special day.
Full use of The Fields property, fields staff, trash removal, and firewood & ice for the weekend.
Event rentals of tents, tables, chairs, table service and linens will be required.
Our preferred vendor list does include a local shuttle service.
