Do accommodations have bathrooms?

Field Tents and Cottages come with their own private en-suite bathroom, complete with a rain-water shower, full flush toilet, sink with hot running water, towels, bath amenities, and linens. Our Simple Tents don’t have bathrooms but you can access public restrooms at The Willow along with primitive shower bags.

Can I bring my dog?

Absolutely! We love furry friends here. Just make sure not to leave your pet alone in the tents. There will be a $35 per pet, per night fee added to your final bill.

Do accommodations have electricity and plumbing?

Yes! Both Field Tents and Cottages have electrcity with bedside outlets and plumbing. Simple Tents offer a more back-to-basics, unplugged experience with no electricity.

Are there animals around here?

No bears, but you are in the woods, so expect to see wildlife. Its part of the charm! For this reason, we do request that food be kept in the provided coolers when staying in the tents.

Can I smoke at the property?

No, The Fields of Michigan is a smoke-free property.

Is there WiFi?

WiFi is available for guest use in The Willow. WiFi is not available in the accommodations.

What time are quiet hours?

Quiet hours are enforced from 10pm to 7am daily.

Do you have refrigeration available?

We don’t have refrigeration in the accommodations, but we do provide coolers in the tents to keep things chilly.

Can I lock my accommodations?

Our accommodations don’t have locks, so we recommend taking valuables with you when you leave for the day.

What time is check-in and check-out

Check-in: 3pm in The Willow
Check-out: 10am

Can I pick blueberries?

Yes, come and pick up a complimentary berry basket at the Camp Store and enjoy the freshest berries during your stay, on us. Blueberry season runs from July through August.

When is the pool open?

The pool is open daily 11am to 8pm from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. The pool is not heated.

Do accommodations have heating and cooling?

Yes! The Fields Cottages have in-room heating and cooling. Fields Tents come with a heated mattress pad, electric fireplace and an evaporative cooler. Simple Tents do not have heating or cooling.

Is there staff onsite?

Yes! There will be a staff member available 24/7 to help with anything you might need.

Do you offer breakfast?

A continental breakfast including pasteries, fresh fruit and yogurt is included with your stay and served daily from 8:30 to 10 am. Complimentary coffee and tea is also offered in The Willow from 6am to 11am.

Do you accommodate dietary preferences?

We can accommodate most dietary preferences but food is prepared on shared cooking surfaces.

Do you offer lunch and dinner?

Yes! On Thursday through Saturday, The Fields Supper Club features a prix fixe, chef-prepared meal for dinner. On Sunday through Wednesday we offer relaxed small plates and shareables along with with light made-to-order options like sandwiches and salads. We also offer grab-and-go items in the Camp Store along with picnic baskets and graze boards which you can order from staff in The Willow.

Do I need reservations for dining at The Fields?

Yes, reservations are required for dining at The Fields Supper Club. Please make reservations on Opentable. Reservations are not required for cafe-style dining or breakfast.

What activities do you offer?

We offer several activities on-site that help you unwind and enjoy the best of the area at your own pace. Relax by the pool, wander through lavender fields, take a leisurly ride to town on cruiser bikes, or treat yourself to a soothing massage. During peak summer months you can even pick bluberries straight from the bush.

Can I rent bikes?

We offer complimentary bikes on a first-come, first-served basis. Check them out from the front desk in The Willows building.

How far is The Fields from Lake Michigan?

We’re just 3 miles from Lake Michigan. Feel free to take bikes down the trail for an easy, scenic ride to the water.

Can I go sailing?

There’s no better way to catch the sunset than on a sail boat in Lake Michigan. Chat with an on-site staff member to learn more about how you can book your sunset sail.

What is the closest airport?

The nearest major airport is Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport (AZO), located about 45 miles southeast of South Haven

What is your cancellation policy?

You have up until 30 days prior to your arrival date to cancel for a 100% refund. Cancellations made within the 30 day window prior to your arrival date are non-refundable. This cancellation policy applies to your tent and any add-ons/enhancements you book. Early departures or no shows will still be chargeable at their full rate. Cold or inclement weather will not permit refund for cancellation, unless the company deems the conditions make staying with us unsafe. To protect your stay at The Fields of Michigan, we highly suggest purchasing travel insurance.

Can I do filming or photography at the property?

Filming and photo shoots require advance approval. Location fees and proof of insurance may be required. Please contact [email protected]. For safety reasons, recreational drone use by any guest or member of the public is not permitted on or over our property. Likewise, commercial use is also prohibited, except in limited circumstances when an approved operator has received written permission from the Marketing team. This includes use associated with special events, marketing, and film/photo applications.

Are kids allowed? Do you have bedding for a baby?

Absolutely! We offer the complimentary addition of a pack-n-play. Kids under 18 can stay on a cot with bedding (pillow, blankets, and a foam mattress topper for some added comfort) for an additional $25 per night. Just let us know what you’d like to add and we’ll make your accommodations as cozy as possible for your little ones! Please note that cots and pack-n-plays are subject to availability.
